Since it’s cold and it’s January, I decided to make a series called Winter Escapes, where we can have a bit of a mental break from the dreariness! This first Winter Escape post comes from Argentina and Uruguay. Before I visited South America last year, I got myself a tiny little film camera to carry around in circumstances where I didn’t feel comfortable carrying my gigantic DSLR (i.e., I was trying to make myself less of a tourist target). The camera is a Ricoh and it’s fantastic! You can set the ISO, aperture, and even exposure compensation. Needless to say, I was hooked. Here are a few of my film snaps from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Colonia, Uruguay.
